Astrographica

Astrographica is an experimental print-based zine book project that explores the mysterious and mind-bending nature of black holes through a creative, visual lens. Blending science and graphic design, the project takes form as a zine that guides the reader on a conceptual journey from the outer edges of space into the heart of a black hole.Each section—Galactic Pull, Event Horizon, and Singularity—serves as both a narrative device and a visual metaphor, using typography, image distortion, custom graphics, and 3D renders to mimic the effects of gravitational forces, time dilation, and the collapse of known physics. Astrographica aims to make complex cosmic phenomena more accessible and emotionally engaging for both scientific and non-scientific audiences. Drawing inspiration from scientific visualization, speculative fiction, and personal fascination with astrophysics, the project invites readers to not just learn about space but to feel it—its scale, its beauty, and its overwhelming intensity. With a strong emphasis on design experimentation, Astrographica merges factual representation with artistic abstraction, resulting in a unique print piece that challenges the boundaries of science communication. It’s a project that sits at the intersection of education, visual storytelling, and creative exploration, transforming data and theory into a tactile and immersive reading experience.
